Tim O’Brien is a research biologist and statistician working for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), and a conservation fellow of the Zoological Society of London. Tim works primarily on the ecology and conservation of large cats, primates and hornbills, and the impact of livestock management on wildlife communities. He also works on the development of monitoring metrics, including aerial, line transect and occupancy surveys. Tim supervises a number of monitoring programs for WCS, including the Tropical Ecology Assessment and Monitoring (TEAM) program, and assists WCS country programs to analyze and synthesize long-term datasets.
